Studies at a number of unmanaged sites indicate that North Island brown kiwi are declining at an alarming rate of six percent per year – they’re halving every decade.
The Forestry Management Guidelines have been developed to help forest owners, managers and operators minimise damage to kiwi during forestry operations.
